Blase Raia Obituary: Tuesday night, a 39-year-old man from Altoona, Pennsylvania, shot and killed his partner, then took his own life. Blase Raia, a well-known local machinist for the Norfolk Southern Railroad, was identified as the suspect.

Blase reportedly killed his partner inside their Altoona, Pennsylvania, home at 614 South Dartmouth Lane before passing away.

The incident occurred in the Logan Township neighborhood of Greenwood, and law enforcement was contacted. Investigators report that both spouses were found dead, one from a gunshot wound.

Shortly after 8 p.m., police were called to the Dartmouth Lane residence in response to an alleged murder-suicide. AMED, the coroner, Logan Township Police, and Altoona Police handled the incident.
